Copyright Letter

Dear Copyright Holder,
I am a current A-Level student studying at Biddulph High School’s Sixth Form College. I am currently working through the beginning of my A2 Media Studies course in which we are required to recreate a music video. For this we need to select a song in which we can create a meaning through the video and convey the message we think is trying to be portrayed through the music.
I would like to do my music video for the song Lego House by Ed Sheeran. The video that has already been done for this song is very social realist so it means that in my video or my recreation of it, it can still be social realist. Due to my limited budget for the film, having it be social realist means that it can be easily filmed by me and still have a good meaning as the message can be portrayed through Ed Sheeran’s social realist video.
I feel that this song is perfect for the sort of natural video that I want to create, with limited actors and with almost a story behind it and I feel this will be relatively easy to portray. And this is why I would like to request to use this song in this project. The music video will not be distributed, and the only people to view it will be the teachers at my school and the examination board that will mark the end project. The song would therefore only be used for educational purposes.
The artist and the song will both be credited during the performance and during the video.  A final copy of the video can be sent to you for your confirmation on its contents.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards,

Kayleigh Ball.
